Getting a availability Report for the ESX-Host

Hello Everyone,

my Teamleader wants a report from the ESX-Host to Show the Availability about the full runningtime since the Installation.

For the beginn we used the report saved/created on every host locatet on "/var/log/vmksummary.html" but sadly this Report is not anymore working properly. So i made a Call on the VMware Support but they could not solve this Problem in time. They give it to the Technik-Team but they also said could need long time for the resolution.

I looked arround and find there is an tool that do a lil part of this "Availability Report" for me.

--> http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-14433

Saddly this tool "only" work for a month and "only" show me the Availability Whitout Maintenance Downtime.

More saddly my programming skill is bad so i could not change this tool.

May someone from you know a programm and/or a Script that gives me the following Results.

Uptime Complete:

Donwtime Complete:

Planed Downtime:

Unplaned Downtime:

Additional nice to have will be a diagramm that shows UP/Downtime in %. but this i could do whit the Report by myself.

Hope im not the Only One who need something like that.

If there is no tool but someone from you can give me help to figure out how to read the Hostdata whit Powercli

(Uptime Event/Downtime Event/Planed Downtime Event/etc....) i think i could may do the rest.

Hopfully looking forward to your answers.

greetz

chris
