Hello
Yesterday one of my Virtual machine ( Debian ) started reclaiming memory by balooning ( 155 MB ) and then swapping ( 55MB ) . Generally its not a big issue for now cause users haven't notice any bad performance and its not a customers vm , but i also noticed that when i go to resource allocation tab there is information that Shared: 9 GB. This vm is configured for 16 GB and consums about 6 -7 GB, so here is my question : How it is possible that that single machine is sharing more memory than it accualy use ? All other vms have shared values between 0 -30 MB ,can it be a reason for balooning or swapping . I checked by esxtop and host has enough free memory ( high value) so it shoudn't even start ballooning .Can somebothy expalain it to me plz , or send me some link where i could dive into that topic ?
