Hey, guys.
Saturday morning I had a issue with one of my virtual machines: I could not access its console via vSphere client, so I sent a poweroff command (button). The virtual machine stuck at 95%, and I made it by killing the process ID. After that, when I try to boot it, the following returns for me:
An error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM Machine_Name.
Reason: 22 (Invalid argument).
Cannot open the disk 'path/disk.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.
Any ideas? I can't access the log file either. Error via command line: "Invalid argument". Same thing if I try to cp the files to another directory, or create a new virtual machine and use this disk.
Version: VMware ESX 4.1.0 Update 2, and the virtual machine doesn't have any snapshots.
Saw the post Help: can't start VM - invalid argument when I try to start it, view the flat file vmdk or even cp it, no conclusion at all using those methods.
Cheers.
