It seems as if all of the virtual machines on one of my ESX4 hosts do not rotate their vmware.log files. Normally 6 old files are kept but each VM on this host has 73 old log files kicking around. The majority are very small in size which isn't a concern but I am just wondering why they are not automatically purging. Is there a cofig file on the host that controls this? I looked in the logrotate.conf file but I believe that controls log rotation for the host's log files and not the VMs it hosts. Has anyone seen this? Thanks.
