How to enable vmnic1 and vmnic3

I have DELL server with 4 network adptaers (2 Broadcom netxtreme and 2 ethernet controller), i have installed esx4.

I seen only vmnic0 and vmnic2 are functioning but vmnic1 and  vmnic3 are down, refer the image attached. (all 4 ports are connected and lights are blinking )

So, how can i enable  vmnic1 and  vmnic3 and set ip for each vmnic.
