The default password for the root user has not been changed

We recently setup three new HP dl380 g6 servers in our vsphere cluster, installed ESX 4.0, U1 and hotfixes.  There is a warning on all three servers that reads "The default password for the root user on the host 172.16.2.xyz has not been changed".  It does not appear to impact the servers, I changed the passwd of root and reconnected the host in VC, but the warning persists.  Has anyone seen this before?
