After purchasing a brand new R610 with SAS disks to be our new host on our new Vcenter ,
We are very dissapointed.
Deploying a Template of 30GB takes 20 min , and clone talkes 1 hour!.
The two Hosts are connected with 1GB hub, and so as the Vcenter VM.
My guess for the slow deployment is that maybe the VM is beging copied by the Vcented or something like that.
BTW we did a test , and connected the same host to an NFS server which is much slower than the R610. And Deploying Template to an NFS server took 2 min for the same VM that took 20 min from the Vcenter.
Your help is kindly needed.
Safe to say we are very dissapointed .
