Hi folks,
We use bridged networking on an ESX host, with one physical card, vmnic0, whereas the second physical card vmnic1 is and will be used for iSCSI. Setup is seen on attached screenshot.
All VMs have IPs on the 192.168.0.X network
We now want to change that: put some VMs on a separate VLAN with 192.168.1.X addresses, while keeping the rest as they are.
All VMs must communicate with the outside word using the same vmnic0. So this interface must become a "trunk" interface.
And this simple-ish task cannot be nearly as daunting as it looks after reading the (fairly confusing) manual.
Please advise.
Thanks a lot,
George
